Foam rollers are one of the most used massage tools here at Synergy. Foam rolling is a form of self-myofascial release (SMR) which helps reduce muscle tension either before or after physical activity. Additional benefits of foam rolling include increases in joint range of motion, decreases in pain and soreness, improvement in blood flow to the target area, and enhanced relaxation. We have several types of foam rollers including soft- and hard-core rollers, textured rollers, spheres, and rolling sticks. Try one of these for yourself today! #foamrolling #Rest #recover #recharge ... See MoreSee Less

Got out early tonight to watch Bayport vs Notre Dame girls. Appreciate the parents that invited me and some staff! Truly enjoyed being able to watch some of these athletes from both teams that we get the pleasure to work with. NDA with the win but for us it’s about getting to watch the kids we work with do their thing. Wether it’s a win or a loss we will still be there to support as much as we can. Thank you all. #girlshoops #basketball #pirates #trojans #synergyfamily #synergysportsperformance ... See MoreSee Less

Some of the hardest workers at the gym.
Love to hear your thoughts. When it comes to sports (any sport) and your child’s development what areas do you feel they need the most help in or most work on that you feel they don’t get? (Training, recovery, nutrition etc) Love to hear some parents comments and we will do our best to respond to any questions. ... See MoreSee Less
This will be controversial reasoning…. But my answer is confidence. Not the confidence to believe you can do it. But the confidence that you know you put in the work in the off season to prepare your body. Too many times you hear parents say things like “my kid plays in a travel/AAU level all year long. And you guys are too expensive (or we can’t afford to pay for X training).” Parents have no problem paying for the experience of game play but struggle to pay or even see value in preparation. This is not a knock on them, it’s a knock on our win at all cost mentality and children need to see the value in preparation. See value in sweat, tears, etc because a blank morning workout is far more valuable long term than the 17 tournament. Thank you for allowing our community a space to prepare. Preparation is the most important aspect.
Mindset/mental health. Nutrition.
Stretching and why is it important.
The mental game!
How to put the connection together - good nutrition = performance.
The Mental Game
Besides everything. Probably mentally. Controlling frustration, anger, over excitement/ bragging/ cocky.
Nutrition. Being able to make a meal plan. Many college students fail, especially D2 and D3 because they don't have a meal plan. D1 schools usually have a Nutritionist on staff. Most High school kids have no clue how to eat for competition.
